Leon, the worst movie that you've ever seen? How on earth can you say that? Why?

Yeah, didn't you see "The Ruins" or what?

Yeah. I actually like The Ruins.

And Inglourous Basterds drug on way too long. It didn't leave ANYTHING out. I mean was it really necessary to watch her put makeup on for like five minutes? Seriously? THe only good thing about that movie was the ending. And that was only good because it was rediculous.

The Ruins wasn't terrible. I watched the whole thing. lol

I have seen a lot lately! District 9 (disappointing), The Hangover (hilarious), I Love You, Man (hilarious), Crank 2 (terrible)...

I finally figured out how to use my new laptop to download torrents, so I have lots to watch! Primer is next on my list. And I am working on Merlin season 1. Great show!

Just figured I would post something, since KM seems to have died. = ( Looking forward to the changes though!

DISTRICT 9 - I keep thinking about going to see it, but the sheer South Africanness of it is putting me off. That the Nigerians have lodged an official protest about it makes it interesting, though.

Apart from the first twenty minutes or so, I really liked District 9, although the main character was far from likeable from beginning to end, yet we were still expected to feel pity for him at the end. All in all though, a good watch even though it was a bit weird....

Someone lent us their copy of Zodiac ... I had no desire to watch it when it came out but was bored and tired this weekend.

It was long but very engrossing! I really liked it, waiting to see what would happen next and the acting was great ... gotta love Robert Downey Jr. And didn't the "bad" guy play the cross dressing brother on the Drew Carey Show? :)

I saw Paranormal Activity with some friends a week or so ago. I want that hour and a half of my life back. The entire movie is horrible, from beginning to end. Boring, predictable, boring, cliched, boring, terribly acted, and did I mention boring? I almost fell asleep about five times and was genuinely surprised every single time that the audience jumped.

Zombieland, on the other hand, was one of the best movie's I've seen, comedy or not, in years. It was so good I actually saw it three times in theaters. Great acting, great jokes, and perhaps the best cameo of all time.

I've seen quite a few movies lately ...

Sherlock holmes - loved it! I actually liked Jude Law in this one ...

Blindside - Sandra Bullock was excellent and it was a good clean story my kids could watch too.

crap ... I can't remember the others!

So many movies...

Avatar-Best effects ever, but it's just "The Last Samurai" with blue people instead of Samurai.
Gamer-Really enjoyed it. Michael C. Hall plays a wonderful villain.
Jennifer's Body-Predictable, boring, tedious, etc...
Paranormal Activity-Worst movie ever made. Almost fell asleep like 5 times.
Zombieland-Saw it twice it was so funny.

Probably more, but that's all I can remember lol.

SHERLOCK HOLMES - really enjoyed it, although I wasn't too keen on Mark Strong as Lord Blackwood. I'd have had someone more aristocratic.

Once again I've succeeded in actually liking a movie which has been completely criticized in the media otherwise. I thought "The Lovely Bones" was a beautiful movie. Sure, I had questions about some stuff, and the ending didn't really satisfy me either, and one weird music video type of scene wasn't all that either, but otherwise I was totally into it, and I'm going to buy the book to find out everything that has been left out.

I just watched LAW ABIDING CITIZEN on the plane. Lots of action, fun to watch, but far too unrealistic...

The Lovely Bones...very good but not quite what I was expecting. And the ending was a bit of a let down.
Saw 6. Yeah I know but I love em! Roll on 7.
Stardust...fantastic Robert De Niro is sooo funny.
I tried watching Paranormal Activity but the shaky camera thing actually made me feel sick and we had to switch it off after 15 mins. Everyone says its crap anyway!

Clash of the Titans was pretty enjoyable, I'll give it a 7.5/10

Law Abiding Citizen was, in my opinion, great, except for the ending. 9/10

I saw SHUTTER ISLAND recently - stunning film, but I'd read the book, so the twists and turns were less surprising to me.

I watched EDGE OF DARKNESS also. Not so good. Mel Gibson was fine, but it was predictable and somewhat ridiculous in places.

"Edge of Darkness" trailer looked like an old school action flick from Gibson's heydays: somehow totally fresh after years of "new" movies.

I want to read the "Shutter Island" book as well.

I thought Shutter Island was excellent and hadnt read the book so the twist was a total surprise!

Watched Avatar the other day and yes it was gorgeous and stunning and jaw dropping but so predictable. We knew everything that was going to happen. It was Ferngully but with spaceship and Ripley. And no singing!

Just come back from a week in South Korea and the flight gave me a chance to see a couple of movies.

The first one was THE WOLFMAN, which was fairly dire, in my view. It was intended to be extremely graphic and quite violent, but it was yet another reworking of an old tale and didn't really add much. All right for passing an hour or two on the plane, but that's about it.

I then watched DAYBREAKERS, which was also fairly dire. Again, quite violent, but the story raced along at a rapid pace and it was over before you knew it. Just too predictable. I was pleased that I hadn't paid money to watch it.

Airplane movies are good for that.

Saw THE LOSERS last night. Wasn't really sure what to expect going into the film and felt unsatisfied coming out of it. Not brilliant, but then I've never seen the comic books.
